True City. Two hundred million people. Twelve hundred square miles. Neo-Tokyo, New York, LA and Paris folded into one megalopolis, split into Quadrants. Deep in Quad 2 lie the relics of an ancient civilization, and they changed what clothing can do.

Empowered Design. In True City, the best designs give their wearers superhuman abilities. That makes fashion the most valuable power there is, and dark forces want it.

The six houses:

  • System 17: secretive and avant-garde, using never-before-seen materials. It appeared about twenty years ago and has one store in all of True City. Its rare wearers whisper about what it lets them do.
  • Luna Blanca: the biggest house in the world. Its white and light-grey pieces restore themselves, and half the world owns one.
  • Calase House of Fashion: a fifty-year pioneer founded by Divan Calase, still standing on the strength of its university.
  • Rivenna Collective: founded by Selena Rivenna, the world's greatest restorationist. Ethical, biologically integrated materials, and a cult following.
  • We Breathe: essentials, "as essential as the air we breathe."
  • Neon: coming soon.

Calase University. Founded by Divan Calase. Students study material design, material science, high fashion, artistry, molecular biology and restoration. Most dream of joining Luna Blanca or System 17, the two hardest houses to get into. Every year, it all comes down to the Empowered Design class and its finals.
